Glad to finally be back to work again on a movie about the founding of Facebook called “The Social Network.” Not being familiar with the site’s history, I’ve been quite surprised at how interesting this story is.
Still crawling on completing “Art is Resistance” but I’m not giving up hope.
In the meantime, trying to get some writing done.

I’m really excited to say that I got the chance to meet Trent Reznor and the current lineup of NIN recently, and had one of the most amazing shows of my life. Like the rest of us, we’d been led to believe it was coming to an end. Luckily Trent’s decided to punctuate the end a little differently and are going to do 10 more shows at very small venues. I’ll be at 3 in LA…so far.
Another cool thing about getting to meet Reznor, although briefly, is that I handed over a rough cut of our “Art is Resistance” short! I’d been attempting to make contact for some time now, and it’s hard to top this method anyway. I’ll just have to hope he watched it and gets what we’re aiming for, even at this early stage.
Now that I’m in between projects until October, it’s time to keep moving forward on A.I.R. and start planning what’s next.

After taking about as much time off as I could afford to, I’m heading off to Philly to work on a new feature film adaptation of the Nickelodeon series “Avatar: The Last Airbender.” First foray into fantasy films and I’m pretty excited.
This doesn’t mean we’re not still making progress on “Art is Resistance,” but are slowly making our way through the VFX and post sound. Our Producer/1st AD PJ Kristl is now wearing a third hat and taking over supervising the post sound with the unfortunate departure of good friend Ryan Magel. Wishing him a lot of luck on his current predicament and hoping for the best in a bad situation.

We’re finally moving into pre-production on another of our own short films, and we’re very excited about this one. It’s going to be challenging with a limited budget, but that almost makes it more fun.
Don’t expect much in the way of updates while we get to work, but hope everyone will be blown away when they see what we’ve got in store.

We’re getting very close to having something new for you to look at.
As we enter this new year, Dave’s nearly finished with converting our site to it’s new look.
I’m keeping busy on a movie called Eagle Eye out in Los Angeles, and will be working on that until February.
We hope to move on to one of our own projects shortly after we wrap, but due to the writer’s strike, I might just have to take whatever work I can get while it’s available.
But we’re persistent and sooner or later we’ll find time for our passion projects.
Stay tuned, and enjoy the new look and sound of VisualEyez.

It’s been awhile since an update, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been hard at work…
Although the collective that is VisualEyez is spread out across the country on a variety of personal endeavors, we’re still working to bring you the next VisualEyez production. It could be awhile due to scheduling conflicts, but we’re still pretty excited about this one, so check back for info on our upcoming short, “Art is Resistance.” Robby’s also got something in the works, so we’ll see what comes first!
Dave’s been using what little free time he gets to help brainstorm and create a new look for the site, so unfortunately there won’t be any other updates until we get this place renovated. I’d like to tell you more, but I don’t want to ruin the surprise.
We won’t leave you empty handed either, Neva’s “Duval’s Gift” is now up for everyone to see in our Film Section.
